(NSFW language) A wild segue from the television miniseries of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. This incredible sequence was all hand drawn, having been created before the advent of cheap computer animation. Pretty funny coincidence involving a pop-up ad and a Star Trek episode. In other cultures, they use venomous insects… One of Tim Burton’s first films, it already features his trademark animation and a macabre theme… that of a boy who fancies himself to be Vincent Price. Here’s a cool excerpt from the documentary Straight Up. It’s about a man who repairs power lines, using a Faraday cage to divert the power from his body, and a helicopter for transport. |
